About

Arafat Kirty is a sound designer, mixing engineer and screen media producer working across feature films, television and digital series. With over a decade of experience in audio post-production, his work focuses on naturalistic sound storytelling, dialogue clarity and atmosphere-driven narrative design. He has contributed to multiple Bangladeshi feature films, including projects recognised at the Bangladesh National Film Awards, specialising in soundtrack mixing, sound design and final audio delivery.

Beginning his career in Bangladesh and continuing in the United Kingdom, Arafat has worked across independent films, web series and broadcast productions in both production and post-production roles. Alongside sound design, he has produced and supervised projects from development through final delivery, collaborating closely with directors to shape tone and emotional realism through both audio and visual storytelling.

His practice centres on supporting story rather than technique, treating sound as a narrative element rather than a technical layer. Now based in London, he continues to work across international and UK productions, while also serving as Technical Director at the London Bengali Film Festival, overseeing film assets and technical coordination for screenings.
